AI, brewed to deliver results.

Tech Ale crafts AI coaches for the language exams that decide visas, university places and careers — a real-time examiner in your browser for IELTS Speaking and the NAATI CCL test.

Two exams, one copilot

Lingo Copilot is Tech Ale's family of AI exam coaches. Each one is built for a single high-stakes test, scored against that test's own published criteria.

About Tech Ale

Our Mission

At Tech Ale, we use artificial intelligence to make expert-level language coaching available to anyone with a browser. A high-stakes speaking exam used to mean paying a tutor by the hour and waiting days for feedback. We turn that into unlimited practice with an examiner that scores you the moment you stop talking.

Our Values

  • Innovation: We use cutting-edge AI to deliver what used to require examiners and expensive tutoring.
  • Accessibility: Our products are available 24/7, anywhere in the world, on any device.
  • Results: Every session is scored against the exam's own published criteria, so progress is measured, not guessed.

Tech Ale OÜ is a technology company registered in Tallinn, Estonia, building the Lingo Copilot family of AI language exam coaches.

Tech Ale and Lingo Copilot, answered

The questions we get asked most about the company and the products.

Who builds Lingo Copilot?

Lingo Copilot is built and operated by Tech Ale OÜ, a software company registered in Tallinn, Estonia (business registry code 16981307). Tech Ale develops both products in the family — Lingo Copilot Speaking for the IELTS Speaking test and Lingo Copilot CCL for the NAATI CCL test — and runs them as web apps and Android apps.

What is the difference between Lingo Copilot Speaking and Lingo Copilot CCL?

They prepare you for different exams. Lingo Copilot Speaking is for the IELTS Speaking test: you answer a real-time AI examiner in English and get an estimated band score across fluency, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. Lingo Copilot CCL is for Australia's NAATI CCL interpreting test: you interpret dialogue segments between English and another language and get marked on omissions, additions and distortions.

How accurate is AI scoring compared with a human examiner?

AI scores are practice estimates, not official results. Lingo Copilot Speaking aligns its band estimates with the published IELTS band descriptors, and Lingo Copilot CCL marks against NAATI's accuracy error categories. The value is consistency and immediacy — you see where marks were lost straight after each answer. Only IELTS and NAATI can issue an official result.

Can I use Lingo Copilot on my phone?

Yes. Both products run in any modern mobile browser that can access your microphone, and both have Android apps on Google Play. Practice sessions, scoring and progress history stay in sync across devices because your account is the same on web and mobile.

Is there a free way to try Lingo Copilot?

Both products have a free entry point. Lingo Copilot Speaking includes a free speaking evaluation and a free trial before you subscribe. Lingo Copilot CCL has a free Starter tier that includes a full practice test, so you can see the AI scoring on your own interpreting before paying.
