Frequently asked questions

What is Lingo Copilot?

Lingo Copilot is Tech Ale's family of AI-powered practice tools for high-stakes speaking exams. It has two products: Lingo Copilot Speaking, an AI examiner and coach for the IELTS Speaking test, and Lingo Copilot CCL, an AI-scored simulator for Australia's NAATI CCL interpreting test. Both run in the browser and on Android.

Which Lingo Copilot should I use?

Pick the one that matches your exam. If you need an IELTS Speaking band — for a university place, professional registration, or the English requirement on a visa — use Lingo Copilot Speaking. If you are claiming the 5 community-language points for Australian skilled migration, use Lingo Copilot CCL.

Do I need both Speaking and CCL?

Many Australian skilled migration applicants do. The points test awards points for English proficiency, usually evidenced by IELTS, and a separate 5 bonus points for a NAATI CCL credential. If you are claiming both, the two products cover the two different exams; if you only need one, there is no reason to buy the other.

Is Lingo Copilot free to try?

Both products have a free entry point. Lingo Copilot Speaking includes a free speaking evaluation and a free trial period before you subscribe. Lingo Copilot CCL has a free Starter tier that includes a full practice test, so you can see how the AI marks your own interpreting before paying anything.
