Tech Ale OÜ is a technology company based in Tallinn, Estonia. We design and build AI-powered language exam coaching that turns slow, expensive test preparation into something anyone can do from their browser.
Who we are
We are a small, product-focused company that applies modern artificial intelligence to one specific problem: high-stakes language exams. Rather than build AI for its own sake, we ship tools that produce a concrete result — a passing score — for the people who use them.
Tech Ale is a registered Estonian company and operates entirely online, serving test takers worldwide.
Our mission
To use technology — especially AI — to make expert-level language coaching accessible to everyone. Passing IELTS Speaking or the NAATI CCL test can decide a visa, a university place or a career, and we think the practice that gets you there should be available at any hour, in any timezone, at a fraction of the cost of a private tutor.

We score against published criteria, not a private rubric
Lingo Copilot Speaking reports against the four official IELTS Speaking criteria — Fluency & Coherence, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range & Accuracy, and Pronunciation. Lingo Copilot CCL marks against NAATI's accuracy error categories: omissions, additions and distortions. Both are scales you can look up and check our reasoning against.
Every score comes with its evidence
A number on its own teaches nothing. Our products show the specific words, segments and grammar that moved the score — word-by-word pronunciation marking in Speaking, and segment-level error flags in CCL — so you can act on the feedback rather than simply receive it.
We are explicit about the limits
AI scores are practice estimates. Only IELTS and NAATI can issue an official result, and we say so in the product rather than implying our estimate is the real thing. AI-generated feedback can contain errors, and we encourage test takers to verify anything that matters against the official exam guidance.
